Ottawa Food Rescue was founded when I saw an opportunity to retrieve supermarket donations of quality food for one of Ottawa's inner city outreach programs.   Realizing there was a potential to expand the service to other programs and help address food insecurity in our city, I approached a number of friends for help. They quickly and enthusiastically stepped up.

We continue to grow, and are grateful for our team of passionate, dedicated, and caring volunteers that deliver not only food but also furniture donations to those that need it the most.
